On 20th May 2024, The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) launched a public consultation on the updated Class License for Short Range Devices (SRDs).
The main proposed changes are as follows:
- Updates to ‘Annexure (2)’ of the class licence, where CRA proposes adding new applications and frequency bands for SRDs.
- Updates to several rules, international standards, and technical specifications for SRDs intended to be imported to Qatar, as well as the corresponding authorised maximum allowed output power.
