Moldova accepts CE marking instead of national type approval.

On 10th of July 2025, the Government and the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova approved key amendments to Law 235/2011 on accreditation and conformity assessment, particularly Article 31 whereby following key changes were introduced:

1.Recognition of EU Notified Bodies test results for conformity assessment.

2.Confirmation that it is no longer required to repeat the conformity assessment procedures already carried out under EU Notified Bodies on the national level.

This change eliminates the current need to apply to Moldovan Notified Body to recognise EU test reports and issue local TEC.

CE Approved equipment can now import to Moldova without a need of additional assessment.
